Thread starter curtisspearsjr Start date Jul 24, Hello everyone, I'm kinda new to the site but have been reading and now believe I've found my resident group of experts :hail: I am rebuilding a 72' Scorpion 2 that is powered by an Evinrude boat motor, herein lies my problem, I don't want to fly a boat motor.

Kinda ironic cause I plan on flyin the Scorpion. You'd think if I have the nads to fly a Scorpion that I wouldn't mind a boat motor powering the thing but back to my question. I would like to hear some opinions on which motor i should put in. I'm thinkin maybe the little Subaru or maybe Rotax. Hope I can find some opinionated experts here to set me straight, don't let me down.

Curtis,is that the Scorpion that was out near Winston Salem N. I forget the name of the old man that had it, but he also has a Mosquito that he has Mike Driggers Mad Dog on the Forum working on. Also there is an Experimental Helicopter Forum on yahoo you may want to check out. I do believe that's the guy that had it. I bought it from Bill Bryant in Hillsville, Va. He purchased it and a Mosquito Air from someone at the same time.

I got it with a lot of goodies for 3 grand. Bill told me that he had been giving the guy advice on his build and the guy had a stroke and loss use of his right hand, called Bill and he bought them both then decided he just wanted the Mosquito.
